Shape an AI film with a one-page story treatment

Turn a loose visual idea into a filmable direction before opening an AI video tool. This is the planning page Marcus uses to keep story, emotion and shots working toward the same result.

YOU WILL LEAVE WITH

A one-page creative direction you can use to generate every shot

The working template

Complete each block in order.

01

The change

Write one sentence describing who or what changes from the first frame to the last.

Example: A lonely delivery robot stops following its route and chooses to watch the sunrise.
02

The feeling

Choose one primary emotion and three visual words that should guide every creative decision.

Example: Quiet hope — misty, restrained, luminous.
03

The three beats

Describe the beginning image, the moment of decision, and the final image. Keep each beat visible rather than explanatory.

Example: Endless route → robot notices reflected light → robot faces the open sky.
04

The visual rules

Lock the aspect ratio, palette, lighting direction, lens feeling and camera movement before generating shots.

Example: 9:16, cool concrete with amber sunrise, soft backlight, 50mm intimacy, slow controlled movement.
